The Sindh River flows gracefully through the valley, teeming with trout and mahaseer, perfect for fishing enthusiasts.
One of the highlights of Sonamarg is the opportunity to hire ponies for a trip to the Thajiwas Glacier, a must-visit attraction, especially in summer. For those seeking adventure, a pony ride or a visit to Zero Point provides an unforgettable experience.

After breakfast, transfer to Gulmarg, known as the “Meadow of Flowers.” Located 125 kilometers from Sonamarg at an altitude of 8,700 feet, Gulmarg is often referred to as the “Switzerland of India.” This beautiful destination is famous for its ski resort and the world’s highest 18-hole golf course. During the British era, Gulmarg was a popular holiday destination, and its legendary beauty, prime location, and proximity to Srinagar make it one of the premier hill resorts in India.
Gulmarg, originally called ‘Gaurimarg’ by shepherds, received its current name in the 16th century from Sultan Yusuf Shah, who was inspired by its grassy slopes covered with wildflowers. It was also a favorite spot for Emperor Jehangir, who once collected 21 different varieties of flowers from this region. Today, Gulmarg is not only a mountain resort of exceptional beauty but also hosts the highest green golf course in the world at an altitude of 2,650 meters. In winter, it transforms into the country’s premier ski resort.
Optional Activity: Gondola Ride
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Gulmarg.
After breakfast, you will be transferred from Gulmarg to Pahalgam, also known as the “Valley of Shepherds.” Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. In Pahalgam, immerse yourself in nature by walking along the banks of the picturesque River Lidder. Pahalgam is renowned for its trekking routes and serves as the base camp for the Amarnath Pilgrimage. This popular tourist destination attracts visitors year-round with its stunning scenery and pleasant climate.
Pahalgam, a world-famous hill station located at an altitude of 7200 feet above sea level, has long been a favorite spot for Bollywood film shoots and continues to be a beloved health resort.
Optional Activities:
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Pahalgam.
After breakfast, you have a free day for leisure activities in Pahalgam. You may choose to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings, or you can hire a car directly to explore nearby attractions such as Aru, Chandanwari, and Betaab Valley.
Pahalgam is surrounded by several places of interest. Due to the resort’s location amidst steep hills, hiring a pony for exploration is highly recommended. Pony fares are posted at various prominent locations.
One of the most beautiful spots is the vast meadow of Baisaran, encircled by dense pine forests. On the way to Chandanwari, you’ll find Hajan, an idyllic picnic spot famously featured in several Bollywood films. Pahalgam itself comprises eight tiny villages, including Mamal, which houses a Shiva temple considered to be Kashmir’s oldest, dating back to the 5th century.
Chandanwari, located 16 km from Pahalgam at an altitude of 2,895 meters, marks the starting point of the annual Amarnath Yatra during the month of Sawan (July to August). The road from Pahalgam to Chandanwari is flat and can be traveled by car. However, the track beyond Chandanwari becomes steeper and is accessible only on foot or by pony.
Approximately 11 km from Chandanwari is the mountain lake of Sheshnag, and 13 km further lies Panchtarni, the last stop before reaching the Amarnath cave, which is 6 km away. During Sawan, an ice stalagmite forms a natural shiv ling in the Amarnath cave, which waxes and wanes with the moon.
Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, depart from Pahalgam and head towards Srinagar. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and take a moment to relax. In the afternoon, embark on a delightful tour of Srinagar’s famed Mughal Gardens.
First, visit Chesmashahi, known for its terraced lawns and refreshing spring. Then, proceed to Nishat Garden, a stunning 12-terrace garden with a backdrop of the Zabarwan Mountains. Finally, explore Shalimar Bagh, the grandest of the Mughal Gardens, with its beautiful flowerbeds and cascading fountains.
Located in the heart of the Kashmir valley, Srinagar sits at an altitude of 1,730 meters (5,676 feet) above sea level, spread along both banks of the Jhelum River. The city is adorned with the scenic Dal and Nagin Lakes, offering a picturesque setting that changes with the seasons, making it a year-round attraction.
End your day with a relaxing evening, soaking in the serene beauty of Kashmir. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel in Srinagar.

This picturesque alpine valley is part of the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and lush meadows of Pine, Fir, and Deodar trees.
In spring and summer, the meadows are adorned with a colorful array of wildflowers such as daisies, forget-me-nots, and buttercups, creating a stunning natural landscape. Enjoy the serene beauty and peaceful ambiance of Doodhpathri before returning to Srinagar.
